No no, scratch FreeBSD, I was reading too quickly.  

Okay, I'm looking through the xinetd - I see where it was copied, and I
don't see that the COPYRIGHT file in that directory
(/xinetd-2.2.1/libs/src/misc) complies with the GPL nor the LGPL.

I see a familiar name up in the CVS header - Chuck, do you know much more
about this?
