Subject [PATCH] TestCompile more discriminating.

TestCompile ought to care that the file it compiled
and linked actually was executable.  HPUX10, at least,
will create a file when it was unable to resolve all
the symbols.  A quick read of the man page for ld
indicates this is the expected behavior, I didn't
notice how to supress it, it sure has a lot of
switches though.
