Anyone know about the /FD option?  (don't want to boot NT just to look)

And regarding the double ::, I don't see any reason to care.  That is what
VC generates and we don't mess with it.

There are two problems with the MAKE files:
1) All of the rules have two colons at the end of the first line.
2) There is no such compiler option /FD.
Just do:

nmake -f Makefile.nt _apacher
Edit all of the MAKE files
[In order for any reply to be added to the PR database, ]
[you need to include <apbugs@Apache.Org> in the Cc line ]
[and leave the subject line UNCHANGED.  This is not done]
[automatically because of the potential for mail loops. ]
