Subject: apache httpd 1.3 for win32 != good

i am having considerable trouble with Apache httpd 1.3 for Windows
NT/95. When I installed the software and attempted to run the server
(after configuring the server with your UN*X like config file ;) ) i got
a nasty message stating that the config files were not where they were
supposed to be. i, at this time, made a directory for the files stated
and attempted to run the server again. no dice. is there anything i have
not tried (kludge or not) that will shed light on my predicament?
