I hereby resign my role as Release Manager for 1.3b1.

It's painfully obvious that my opinions about the direction
this release should take and the speed at which it should
be taken are in the distinct minority.

As such, I think all previous considerations are now re-open for
debate, including Feature Freeze.

It appears to me that the general answer to the question "How
soon should we get 1.3 out the door" is a resounding "Eh, whenever."
