Damn, you think ahead.  To tell you the truth... I have one half done in
vi.  Well, mostly ex.  <g> Easier than sendmail, but it is almost cheating
since you can just call a shell to do anything you want. 

Advantage of vi is you can output to stdout and stderr using /dev/stdout
and /dev/stderr.
