Hmmm, of course the commands 'grep', 'tail -f' etc.. could
be used here... I usually only go in if there is trouble
and am quite happy to have a full log file; and to the
sorting/splitting/datamining with the usual unixy tools.

Actually I'd hate for apache to spend CPU cycles on this.
