Subject Re: more mirror problems

This is due to stat()ing of the requested directory somewhere in the
server core. I was putting together a simple application relay
(mod_tunnel) today, and noticed this problem disappeared when I
replicated the mirrored directory structure, but left it empty, on the
machine doing the equivalent of a ProxyPass.

I think it's the call to stat() in get_path_info() in http_request.c.

I also think it's the cause of the mod_rewrite/mod_proxy problems.
