I don't think it is a HTTP issue. The problem is within a textarea, so the
browser can send whatever line-endings it likes (suitably encoded as %0d
or %0a). At least that's what I've always assumed (and I usually translate
\r, \n and \r\n into \n for textarea CGI data to compensate).
