    I don't use gcc, and I've never been able to decode OSF's cc(1) man
    page enough to figure out what it's equivalent of "-Wall" is.
    However, I suppose I ought to have gcc lying around for one reason
    or another, so I'll go off and get it.  I see this thread has died
    down, so I won't comply with the request, but when this sort of
    thing resurfaces for 2.0 I'll be ready.

    BTW, Dean, there are other 64-bit implementations than Alpha.  Is
    Alpha/OSF the only one that has the sizeof(int) issue?  If not, I
    dunno about the special-casing in the revised patch..
