Here's one for you...  Of course, this could already be done.  And, of course,
this should wait for 2.0 since it would be an additional feature.  Anyways,
how about having a COREDIR configuration to specify a diretory in which to
dump core?  Apache already catches the SIGSEGV and logs the occurence before
dumping core, why not do a chdir(COREDIR) before dumping core.  This will
help locate core files in a directory writable to the user running the
daemon.
