Subject [DOC] mod_rewrite's reference to http://www.apache.org/docs/misc necessary?
Date Tue, 08 Apr 1997 17:24:49 GMT
Hi,

I wonder if it's really necessary to make a reference to the global apache
server "http://www.apache.org/docs/misc/", where a "../misc/" would have
been sufficient. Here's a proposed patch for apache/htdocs/mod/mod_rewrite.html
as distributed in 1.2b8:

--- apache/htdocs/mod/mod_rewrite.html.orig    Tue Apr  8 15:49:37 1997
+++ apache/htdocs/mod/mod_rewrite.html        Tue Apr  8 19:19:39 1997

 directory where logfiles are stored is writable by anyone other than the user
 that starts the server.
