EXTRA INFO:
I have gone into the code and I have isolated the location:
http_main.c (Lines 2253-9)

There is a problem on Solaris 2.5.1 and the sockets
implementation here.. I have suffered with Perl sockets 
on this OS already.  The httpd compiles wonderfully
but, when trying to run it I get the errors as demonstrated above.
