Subject [BUG]: "apache won't write to logfile" on FreeBSD (fwd)

I no longer HUP my FreeBSD Apache.

I'd be suprised if this doesn't still work though..

Symptoms:

i rotate my logs every night and generate a new
httpd.access with the same permissions as the old
one.  For some reason, apache won't write to the
new one unless i kill and restart the server (a
HUP won't do).
