Subject: [BUG]: "Virtual host default doesn't work ok with older browsers" on Irix

Submitter: rob@flnet.nl
Operating system: Irix, version: 5.3
Version of Apache Used: 1.1.3
Extra Modules used:
URL exhibiting problem:

Older browsers now seem to get the default page
instead of the virtual host page of the virtual
host on the primary IP.

I used to have a document root set to a page saying
'there is no server installed on this adress',
and a virtual host on every ip a server was installed on.
So if i had the adresses xxx.xxx.xxx.10 to
xxx.xxx.xxx.40 installed on the machine, but only
used www servers on the adresses .10 to .30,
it will get the message when .31 to .40 was requested.
After installing 1.1.3 it seems this doesn't work
any longer when older browsers are used.
They even get the 'there is no server installed on this adress'
when they request a virtualhosted adress.
