You don't want to compile with -DNO_WRITEV ... this looks like a gcc
problem -- I don't see it under IRIX 5.3 or 6.2.  Ah wait, I see.  You're
building with a 5.3 gcc under 6.3... try using native cc or build a 6.3
gcc.  (Or run fixincludes on the 6.3 header files.)
