Which part of the above are you referring to?

My patch is just docs changes; I was under the impression that docs
changes were not under the same rules.

If you are referring to my 'go ahead and do it' if someone wants to
implement what the docs say, I was just referring to 'go ahead and make a
patch and submit it for review and see if you can get enough +1s', not go
ahead and commit it.
