There is no DOCTYPE called "-//IETF//DTD HTML 3.2//EN". There is one called "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2 Draft//EN", but it isn't valid since (last I checked) W3C was not an ISO-approved publisher and therefore has no ability to define DOCTYPEs. IMHO, it is a waste of bytes -- even SGML apps like HotMetal can handle HTML without a DOCTYPE, and there is no point in announcing compliance with a draft proposal. ....Roy | |
