Would certainly be a help for high load servers that get alot of hits on particular documents. It probably wouldn't be all that difficult to implement. I couldn't tell in the API docs whether their was a generalized way for a module to access shared memory segments between processes. (Wouldn't do to have 20 megs of cache for each process, also wouldn't work too well.) -- Nathan | From: jjt@ndhome.webspan.com (Jamie Thingelstad) | Newsgroups: comp.infosystems.www.servers.unix | Subject: Large Cache for Apache | Date: 9 Dec 1996 10:41:41 -0600 | Organization: Concerto, Inc. http://www.HHConductor.com/ | Lines: 22 | Message-ID: <58hfg5$lm0@ndhome.webspan.com> | NNTP-Posting-Host: home.hhconductor.com | | | Does Apache currently do any caching of objects it serves?
