Subject Re: WWW Form Bug Report: "Problem with comment "eval" on "sh"" on OSF/1 (fwd)
Date Thu, 05 Dec 1996 13:14:09 GMT

Hmm, I've got a

#uname -a
OSF1 V3.2 41 alpha (6 processor(s) enabled)

box here; and things look fine to me. Anyone any ideas, I tried
some older version of OSF... but no cookie sofar.

$cat > a
#! /bin/sh

# 'ty' can actually be set to anything - file,
# directory, junk value, etc., so it doesn't
# appear to be some kind of weird "I'll try
# and execute the directory" thing.

eval $tx $ty
echo "Done OK"
$chmod a+x a
Done OK
$time ./a
Done OK
0.00u 0.01s 0:00 100% 0+0k 0+0io 0pf+0w
$uname -a
OSF1 V3.2 41 alpha (6 processor(s) enabled)
