Ok, where are we at?

I see Roy commited his last changes. (What about Dirk's comments?)

I've got mine and Chuck's vote on a patch that I submitted which
defines a usable  user/group for FreeBSD/NetBSD/BSDI. The current
defaults will fail on these OS's and I am sure there are others
effected. It's a simple conf.h change that could avoid some problems
for newcomers.

I'd like to have a couple more +1s.
