I disagree, but I'd settle for the following: if we could write a script which
expanded SSI's, just the vanilla #include file type, and run that at
tarball-creation time.  SSI's in my opinion are just too valuable to not use;
sure we could use perl -pi.bak -e to do search-and-replace across a lot of
files when we want to change those things, but that seems inefficient and
error-prone to me.
