Subject: WWW Form Bug Report: "QUERY_STRING gets mangled?" on FreeBSD

Submitter: robert@ilse.nl
Operating system: FreeBSD, version:
Version of Apache Used: 1.1.1
Extra Modules used: N/A
URL exhibiting problem: http://193.67.243.240/apachetest.html/this/is/a/test/?1

Symptoms:
--
In certain special cases, it seems QUERY_STRING gets mangled.
It happens when I use <!--#include virtual="XXX.cgi?command?line" -->
in an HTML file which I call with:
file.html/this/is/pathinfo/?foo

It was my understanding that QUERY_STRING would contain 'foo',
yet it contains the commandline as used in the SSI statement.
QUERY_STRING_UNESCAPED _does_ contain 'foo'
