Symptoms:

The death of the server if a virtual host fails to resolve properly (rather than logging a
message
and disabling that address) is sometimes undesireable.  I'm going to try to hack it out using
a
sentinel-address solution, but a cleaner solution might be preferable (and yes, I know the
proper
solution is good dns, use of hosts, etc., but I'm trying to make the server somewhat resilient
in
a too-many-cooks-touching-the-machine situation...)
