Of course, this does require the discipline of being able to say *now* that some particular lines of development are out of scope for 1.2, and will have to wait for 2.0 (the release *after* next)... while I am starting to think this actually would be the best way to proceed, it's important that everyone understand that going in if we decide to go this way. rst
