Subject Apache 1.1b4 released (fwd)
Date Mon, 17 Jun 1996 21:54:20 GMT
Well, it's all done...

Apache 1.1b4 is officially released. I updated all the web pages I could
find, and sent a message to apache-announce (see below - basically, I took
Brian's 1.1b3 release and changed the numbers). If anyone wants to do
anything else, like post to Usenet, please go ahead. I'm not planning to.

Now maybe we can get us a 1.1.0 soon... I hope.

Subject: Apache 1.1b4 released

The fourth beta release of Apache 1.1 is now available. You can get this
release from the main US server at http://www.apache.org/ or at any
of our 26 mirror sites (though it may take a day or two for the mirrors to
pick up the new release).

The changes from 1.1b3 are listed below. We hope to officially release 1.1
soon, so please try the new release on your servers and let us know about
any bugs you might find, using our bug report form:

   <http://www.apache.org/bug_report.html>

Thanks for using Apache.

*) VirtualHosts based on Host: headers no longer conflict with the
     Listen directive.

  *) OS/2 compatibility enhancements.

*) POST now allowed to directory index CGI scripts.

*) Actions now work with files of the default type.

  *) Bugs which were fixed:
        a) more mod_proxy bugs
        b) early termination of inetd requests
        c) compile warnings on several systems
        d) problems when scripts stop reading output early
