Actually, I checked all the sites in netcraft's survey reporting to be 
Netscape, and I found exactly 8 who were claiming one thing but running 
another.  4 of those were giving the following:

  Server: Netscape-Communications/1.1
  X-Server: Matzen WebWave/2.0

Another claimed 

  Server: Netscape-Commerce/1.12
  Server: OBJIX Channel Serf

(and gave two date headers in two different formats too, joy!)

The other 3 were the three I knew of. 

So maybe it's not quite so widespread... so much for Apache FUD. 

Still, it was a worthwhile exercise if only to build something that could 
do 10 HEADs/second.  :)
