I'd rather not make two significant changes at the same time.
I'd like to see a stable HTTP/1.1 server for Apache 1.2.
I think a multithreaded server is the basis for Apache 2.0.

It gives some people a ledge to stand on while the rest of us
jump off the cliff and see how deep the water can be.
