I don't think so... There must be something wrong with my setup.

According to the docs:

  o Add 'AddType application/x-httpd-imap .map' to srm.conf.
  o Reboot Apache if required
  o Call the map as "http:/maps/filename.map"

Now my setup has:

/maps/ aliased to a directory not in the DocomentRoot tree... Could that
be it?

Do you have a link I could test by browsers with?
