Creative Director

Responsibilities:

   * Act as creative team leader on projects assigned by the Executive
     Creative Director
   * Conceptual development of Web sites, including project strategy,
     site functionality, information architecture, navigation systems
     and user interface
   * Work with Account Managers and Production Managers to define the
     creative process and establish timelines/milestones, creative
     staffing and creative department cost estimates
   * Collaborate with Account Managers, Production Managers and Lead
     Production Engineers to define site functionality
   * Participate in ongoing creative/production/engineering review
     meetings as the development process demands
   * Locate and evaluate new hires in the creative department
   * Locate, evaluate, contract and supervise collaborative creative
     partners including art directors, writers, illustrators,
     designers and animators
   * Supervise and direct staff digital artists and graphic production
     staff
   * Present creative to clients
   * Participate in new business presentations

Skills/Qualifications:

   * Work history should include experience as: writer, art director,
     graphic designer, illustrator, animator, filmmaker, director,
     technical director, artist... with the work to prove it
   * A vision of the future of the WWW
   * Experience doing creative and conceptual problem solving
   * Experience communicating and working collaboratively in a
     creative environment
   * Experience in producing a variety of media and a familiarity with those
     processes
   * Experience negotiating and managing collaborative/vendor
     relationships
   * An aesthetic sensibility and point of view about the media
   * The ability to present and sell ideas to clients
   * A huge rolodex with contacts in the creative community
   * A willingness to invent the future of the WWW and look outside
     the Web for answers


Production Manager

Responsibilities:

   * Develop and maintain project schedules
   * Notify project members and department head of schedule changes
   * Manage project teams
   * Develop and promulgate production specifications for projects
   * Work with Account Manager to manage client expectations
   * Review and approve all creative ideas for projects based on
     technical and scheduling feasibility
   * Prepare and oversee quality assurance test plan for projects
   * Responsible for developing and launching projects according to
     standard process
   * Participate in the development of department standards
   * Participate in production and scheduling meetings

Skills/Qualifications:

   * 2-3+ years of project management experience in a digital
     production environment
   * Team leadership experience
   * Strong technical management skills
   * Working knowledge of Windows, Mac and UNIX
   * Working knowledge of HTML and other interactive development
     languages


Production Coordinator

Responsibilities:

   * Assist Production Manager with project management
   * Assist Production Manager in developing and executing a quality
     assurance test plan for a project
   * Participate in the development of department standards
   * Participate in production meetings

Skills/Qualifications:

   * Strong attention to detail
   * 2-3+ years of organizing schedules and large amounts of detail
   * 1+ year working in a digital production environment
   * Working knowledge of Windows, Mac and UNIX
   * Working knowledge of HTML and other interactive development
     languages


Production Assistant

Responsibilities:

   * Assist Production Managers and Production Coordinators in the
     hands on development of Web projects
   * Assist in the quality assurance testing of sites
   * Participate in the development of department standards
   * Participate in production meetings
   * Format HTML
   * Report to the Production Manger on the status of the site
     (problems, changes, etc.)

Skills/Qualifications:

   * Working understanding of HTML
   * 2+ years experience on the Internet
   * 1-2+ years experience working with groups in digitally networked
     environment
   * Working knowledge of HTML and other interactive development
     language


Quality Manager

Responsibilities:

   * Establish standard QA plan for testing all elements of Web sites
     we develop, including scripts, graphics, HTML and cross-platform
     compatibility
   * Develop custom QA test plans for new and unique projects
   * Provide support to project managers to prepare and manage QA tests
   * Participate in the development of department standards
   * Help Production Director to document all standard operating
     procedures for production at Organic
   * Educate contractors and new employees about standard operating
     procedures
   * Perform HTML code reviews and provide feedback to HTML authors
   * Keep up-to-date on HTML standards and Web development standards
     in general
   * Help Organic develop its voice in the HTML standards community
   * Participate in production meetings

Skills/Qualifications:

   * 2-3+ years experience in a digital production environment
   * Strong technical education skills
   * Working knowledge of Windows, Mac and UNIX
   * Working knowledge of HTML and other interactive development
     languages
   * Experience establishing and implementing QA test plans


Usability Specialist

Responsibilities:

   * Develop and implement usability tests for projects
   * Present usability test findings and recommendations to project
     leaders
   * Maintain record of all usability tests, findings and
     recommendations
   * Keep abreast of new technologies and their ramifications to
     human-computer interface (HCI)
   * Assist project teams in understanding and solving HCI problems
   * Help translate abstract ideas from clients and creative
     department into concrete interface recommendations; this will
     involve developing usability scenarios, flow charts and
     storyboards along with any other types of documents that would be
     useful for expressing interface ideas
   * Help educate engineering, production, account management and
     creative department members as well as clients regarding HCI
     issues specific to Web sites
   * Keep abreast of HCI developments in industry journals,
     conferences and other relevant forums
   * Participate in production meetings

Skills/Qualifications:

   * 2-3+ years experience in a digital production environment
   * Working knowledge of Windows, Mac and UNIX
   * Working knowledge of HTML and other interactive development
     languages
   * 4 years human-computer interface studies or equivalent


Lead Production Engineer

Responsibilities:

   * Assess production engineering project requirements
   * Works with account services and production staff to precisely
     specify project needs and deadlines
   * Develop a set of project milestones and architecture documents
   * Coordinate with Production Engineering Manager to insure
     sufficient resources are available for all projects
   * Report to Production Engineering Manager, the project Account
     Manager and the project Production Manager on project status and
     updates
   * Monitor project progress and problems, and assists production
     and engineering staff in completing their assignments
   * Participate in the development of production department standards
   * Participate in production engineering meetings

Skills/Qualifications:

   * Strong experience with UNIX, CGI, Perl5 and at least one other
     programming language
   * At least basic familiarity with Java or C++
   * Strong programming design & architecture skills
   * Familiarity with Web server administration
   * One year management or leadership experience
   * Experience in a production or team working environment
   * Ability to work well with clients and other non-engineers
   * Ability to consistently meet deadlines


Senior Production Engineer

Responsibilities:

   * Bring extensive implementation and design experience to
     production engineering projects
   * Work with the Production Engineering Manager and Lead Production
     Engineer to implement site engineering needs
   * Help to educate Production Engineers in program design and
     implementation strategies, as well as language features and uses
   * Keep up with technological innovations and reports on research
     efforts
   * Participate in the development of department standards
   * Participate in production engineering meetings

Skills/Qualifications:

   * Strong experience with UNIX, CGI, Perl5 and/or Java, and at least
     one other programming language
   * Strong programming design & architecture skills
   * Experience in a production or team working environment
   * Ability to work well with clients and other non-engineers
   * Ability to consistently meet deadlines


Production Engineer

Responsibilities:

   * Work with the Production Engineering Manager and Lead Production
     Engineer to implement site engineering needs

Statistics Engineer

Responsibilities:

   * Develop and manage back-end systems for processing server
     logfiles
   * Design and implement front-end systems for reporting of
     statistical information to clients
   * Implement tests for data integrity and completeness

Skills/Qualifications:

   * Perl and Java experience
   * Knowlege of basic HTTP principles
   * Some background and deep interest in statistics, particularly in
     visualization of large data sets
   * Experience in automating complex tasks and managing large data
     sets


Staff Accountant

Responsibilities:

   * Perform fixed asset inventory - price it out
   * Maintain record of fixed asset info
   * Build depreciation tables for book & tax
   * Establish letters of credit for all foreign customers
   * Ongoing Responsibilities
   * Process all Purchase Orders
   * Process all Accounts Payable vendor invoices
   * Maintain paid invoice files
   * Process all checks
   * Process bi-weekly Payroll
   * Maintain payroll records
   * File annual form 1099's
   * Prepare annual form W-2's
   * Process all customer invoices
   * Maintain customer billing files
   * Maintain fixed asset database
   * Post monthly G/L journal entries
   * Perform monthly bank reconciliations
   * Maintain subcontractor agreement files, compare agreed upon terms
     to actual results and recommend improvements to policies
     regarding the use of subcontractors
   * Track detail of barter transactions
   * Establish letters of credit for all foreign customers
   * Weekly backup of Quickbooks to disk to be stored offsite
   * Proof all timesheets prior to controller review
   * Review pager/cellular/long distance plans for cost effectiveness
   * Set up calendar of tax payments and all reports due/financials, etc.
   * Payrolls, property taxes, payroll taxes, 1099, 1096, EEO filings, 941,
     940's, etc.
   * Update budget amounts monthly with Controller
   * Compare budget to actual revenues and expenses monthly
   * Rollforward/reconcile retained earnings each month
   * Complete credit applications
   * Budget for computer support expenses/track warranties, etc.
   * Print monthly expenses by account & distribute to Account
     Managers
   * Departmentalize salaries, depreciation, etc.
   * Install Purchase Order module on Quickbooks
   * Install Quickbooks Pro
   * Do property tax filings
   * Establish credit limits and policy regarding D&B's, etc.

Skills/Qualifications:

   * Accounting degree
   * Minimum 3 years general accounting experience - G/L work
   * Some payroll experience
   * F/A A/P, A/R, collections experience
   * Some cost experience - adaptable to time tracking
   * Excel skills a must
   * Promotable to assistant controller/controller


Cost Accountant/Production Scheduler

Responsibilities:

   * Assist in developing scheduling system for all production
     personnel
   * Maintain scheduling system for all production personnel
   * Assist in developing time tracking system for all production
     personnel
   * Maintain time tracking system for all production personnel
   * Assist in developing scheduling system for all company
     events/interviews, holidays, construction, etc.
