There is now a patch file for the addition of DOCUMENT_ROOT in

We should still do something like this before the final release.

There is now a patch for this in patches/for_Apache_0.3/ - and I cleaned it
up so that instead of kludging on seeing if AuthUserFile ends with a .pag, it
now looks for a AuthDBMUserFile, sans any suffix the system gives DBM files. 
To test this out, compare accessing
http://hyperreal.com/httpd/newpatch/update/ to
http://hyperreal.com/httpd/newpatch/update-test/ - your passwords are the
same so you probably won't be asked for reauthentication, but you can look in
/var/log/httpd.apache to verify that your username was captured and thus
authenticated.  Now that this is in, I *might* set this up on HotWired
tonight....
