Subject Apache 1.3.8 imminent
Date Tue, 03 Aug 1999 15:35:08 GMT
Greetings, Apache tester.

We just rolled Apache 1.3.7, but problems were discovered with
it and so it's not going to be released. Instead, we expect
to be rolling Apache 1.3.8 very soon.

The current plan is the repository to go into 'quiet mode' this
Friday (6 August 1999) for internal testing, then for the 1.3.8
candidate tarball to be rolled on Thursday (12 August 1999) and
made available to you for testing. If no-one turns up any deadly
problems before the following Monday (16 August 1999), 1.3.8 will
be formally released.

This schedule is, of course, subject to change with little or no
notice.

I'll be sending out another message when there's a tarball available
to download and test; this is just a 'heads-up!' message.

Thanks for your contribution to testing Apache!
