https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=55460

            Bug ID: 55460
Summary: allow service names to be used in the Listen directive
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.5-HEAD
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: Core
          Assignee: bugs@httpd.apache.org
          Reporter: calestyo@scientia.net

Hi.

It would be nice if you'd allow service names (i.e. from /etc/services,
respectively the getent syscalls) to be used in the Listen directive to specify
the port.

E.g.
Listen 0.0.0.0:https
Listen 0.0.0.0:http-alt

That way, when one changes the port, all one needs to do change it in one place
(/etc/services) and then restarting apache/iptables is enough if properly
configured.

Cheers,
Chris.
