If you JUST use the diff for the actual proxy module (mod_proxy_http.c and
proxy_util.c), does the problem go away?

The concern is that all the other changes just don't look right and "hide" the
real problem. For example, the use of f->c->bucket_alloc should be correct and
the  change to b->bucket_alloc is "safe" but unneeded.
