I suspect I now know the origin of the bug... give me through this evening
(CST) to wrangle it.  We have a 'special case' filter where the first bytes of
an AcceptEx + data is handed up the brigade.  Since there are no first bytes,
and we don't read, and we aren't blocking (as mod_ssl expects) - this is a very
likely possibility.
