Thanks, using OpenSSL as a client I can now reproduce as well.

I tried to debug into it. As soon as I add some additional debugging statements
to our debug callback function ssl_io_data_dump() I can no longer reproduce the
problem. The smallest change that makes it no longer reproducible with OpenSSL
as a client is adding "Sleep(1);" at the beginning of ssl_io_data_dump().

Any chance you can check, whether that is true for you as well?

If so it seems that there is a timing issue between BIO and the lower input
filter.
