Summary: make install fails - libtool: link:
`locks/unix/global_mutex.lo' is not a valid libtool
                    object
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.2.17
          Platform: Sun
        OS/Version: Solaris
            Status: NEW
          Severity: blocker
          Priority: P2
         Component: Build
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: karen.l.ezzo@hp.com

I am trying to install Apache 2.2.17 on a new Sun SPARC server with Solaris 10.
I downloaded the file from the Apache website, and put it on the server. After
extracting the files, I ran the configure with no options, since i wanted it to
load into the default directory (/usr/local/apache2)

./configure
This worked fine.

Then I ran make
This worked fine.

Then I ran make install
 but it error'd out:
