Subject DO NOT REPLY [Bug 50996] New: SERVERADMIN parameter not working
Date Wed, 30 Mar 2011 14:02:09 GMT
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=50996

           Summary: SERVERADMIN parameter not working
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.2.15
          Platform: PC
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Win32 MSI Installer
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: alix.warnke@assaabloy.com

Running the MSI installer with parameters, e.g:

> msiexec /i "$R0" /quiet /passive /qn /norestart SERVERADMIN=test@test.com AGREETOLICENSE="Yes"
ALLUSERS=null APPLICATIONUSERS="OnlyCurrentUser" INSTALLDIR="$Apache_Home" SETUPTYPE="Typical"
SERVICENAME=apache2.2

results in an error message in the installer, that the server admin field is
not set in httpd.conf and that the service cannot be started.
Upon closer inspection, when the installer is finished, this field value is
blank in httpd.conf.
I would expect the field to be set to "test@test.com" in this case.

Side note: Is there a way to tell apache installer not to start the service?
