Subject DO NOT REPLY [Bug 49879] New: mod_cgid truncates cgisock path
Date Fri, 03 Sep 2010 20:44:40 GMT
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=49879

           Summary: mod_cgid truncates cgisock path
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.3-HEAD
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_cgid
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: thelvey@accelrys.com

If you are running the server in a path that contains more than around 100
characters the unix domain socket path gets truncated (logs/cgisock.1 for
example). This causes the cgid daemon to fail init. May want to use PATH_MAX
for this.
A workaround is to set scriptsock a shorter path for example: /var/tmp/cgisock
