Subject DO NOT REPLY [Bug 48792] New: httpd util apachectl returns wrong status information
Date Mon, 22 Feb 2010 06:47:11 GMT
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=48792

           Summary: httpd util apachectl returns wrong status information
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.0.63
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: All
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: qu-chunguang@necsoft.com.cn

We run more than one version of apache httpd on my os.
When calling
$ ~/apache2063/bin/apachectl status
$ ~/apache2059/bin/apachectl status
under different local installed version(2.0.63/2.0.59),
but returns same information about 2.2.12(which default installed on my
system).

We think this is a bug because
$ ~/apache2063/bin/apachectl start/stop/restart
will control only local version of httpd
but
$ ~/apache2063/bin/apachectl status
returns information of system version of httpd,
isn't it strange?

We tested 2.2.x have the same problem.
