Subject DO NOT REPLY [Bug 48585] New: mod_cache no longer caches expired content
Date Wed, 20 Jan 2010 22:11:10 GMT
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=48585

Summary: mod_cache no longer caches expired content
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.2.14
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_cache
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: phil.pickett@springsource.com

As of Apache 2.2.4, mod_cache no longer caches expired content. This is due to
the changed associated with rev.
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc?view=revision&revision=450055. While this change
may make sense for the majority of cases, we have a scenario where the previous
behavior was being made us of.

As an enhancement, I'd like to request that the previous behavior be selectable
via a configuration directive.
