Subject DO NOT REPLY [Bug 48552] New: POST parameters are lost on DirectorySlash redirect
Date Fri, 15 Jan 2010 10:25:36 GMT
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=48552

Summary: POST parameters are lost on DirectorySlash redirect
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.3-HEAD
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows Vista
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_dir
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: techtonik@gmail.com

With DirectorySlash on, when user form is submitted via POST method to URL
without slash in the end, the user is redirected to a page with slash, but POST
parameters are lost.

Server sends 301 redirect. Is there any other header server can send to make
browser resubmit POST data for a redirect endpoint.

If it is not possible to save POST params then it will be good at least mention
this behavior in Apache documentation and place a warning with reference to
DirectorySlash page.

Thanks.
