Subject DO NOT REPLY [Bug 48349] New: Allow RewriteMap in a .htaccess file
Date Tue, 08 Dec 2009 15:15:54 GMT
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=48349

Summary: Allow RewriteMap in a .htaccess file
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.3-HEAD
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_rewrite
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: rbowen@apache.org

RewriteMap is not permitted in a .htaccess file. I presume there are good
reasons for this. However, it would be amazingly convenient if it were
permitted. Can we consider the implications of doing so, and, if it's not
terrible, permit it, perhaps with an associated configuration directive for the
server administrator to enable/disable this feature?
