Subject DO NOT REPLY [Bug 47503] New: Apache fails
Date Thu, 09 Jul 2009 18:53:32 GMT
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=47503

           Summary: Apache fails
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.2-HEAD
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows Vista
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: All
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: wadori@yahoo.com

I downloaded and installed Apache 2.2 on my Windows Vista machine, but am
unable to start Apache. When I click on Start I recieve the following error
meassge:

An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access
permissions. : make_sock: unable to listen for connections on address
0.0.0.0:80
no listening sockets available, shutting down
unable to open logs

I removed Skype from my computer, which I read could be a potential problem. I
tried changing the port to 8080 in httpd.conf, but I get the same error message
(except that it cites 0.0.0.0.8080).
