Subject DO NOT REPLY [Bug 47043] New: "mod_ssl useless CRL object reinitialisation"
Date Fri, 17 Apr 2009 09:23:52 GMT
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=47043

           Summary: "mod_ssl useless CRL object reinitialisation"
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.3-HEAD
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: minor
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_ssl
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: marc.stern@approach.be

In ssl_engine_kernel.c, line 1475 in ssl_callback_SSLVerify_CRL(), we
reinitialise a new CRL by calling object SSL_X509_STORE_lookup().
This was already performed at the beginning of the function (line 1391).
I don't see any modification of the structure - except the free on line 1467.
It seems safe to reuse the first one instead of cleaning it and reusing it.

We could delete lines 1467 to 1479: cleanup, initialisation, test of result
