Subject DO NOT REPLY [Bug 46710] New: ScriptAlias without mod_cgi should issue a warning/error
Date Fri, 13 Feb 2009 03:43:08 GMT
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=46710

           Summary: ScriptAlias without mod_cgi should issue a warning/error
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.0.52
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows Vista
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_alias
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: belg4mit@pthbb.org

apachectl configtest should balk if ScriptAlias is used and mod_cgi is not
loaded.
It's a meaningless directive sans CGI, and the lack of warnings masks its
absence;
yes it falls back to being a normal Alias, but that doesn't help one figure out
why scripts aren't executing when there are no errors logged.
