For the protocol modification to have any effect, you'd need to get browsers to
play along. So reopening this bug would not do any good.

If you really think this is important, head over to the w3c and see if you can
get the spec rewritten. Then convince the browser vendors to implement the new
spec. Then if there is anything that needs to be changed in apache to make it
work, feel free to reopen this bug.
