Summary: mod_rewrite redirects weirdly or ignores [L]
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.2.3
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_rewrite
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: flamingmo@online.de

.htaccess in root directory:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^Admin$ admin.php [L]
RewriteRule (.*) index.php?file=$1 [QSA,L]

For testing purposes, index.php echoes the value of the 'file' param.

If I try to access mydomain.tld/Admin now, I'm being redirected to
mydomain.tld/Admin/?file=Admin (and the output of index.php is "Admin").

I replaced the third line with the following:
RewriteRule ^foo\.php$ admin.php [L]

For some reason, Apache ignored the "[L]" and continued with the second
RewriteRule. The output of index.php was "admin.php".

It finally worked when I tried the following:
RewriteRule ^admin\.php$ admin.php [L]
