Yes, thats right. Solaris 10 for sparc architecture - and not for x86.

Yes, it is defined there.

Since September 2006 there is a patch for two port_getn problems:
6374407 port_getn does not dissociate fd when it reports an event on it
6402576 Sometimes port_getn() never returns indicating that a socket has become
writable

Dont know either if the patch was applied on this server nor if it is possible
that is has something to do with the APR_TIMEUP problem.

The error occurs in each case (of the three).
