I see. Maybe thats the problem :-). Seriously, I think SUN's LDAP libaries get
loaded by the nss_ldap libraries (try ldd nss_ldap) because nss_ldap gets loaded
via dlopen by the nss library which tries to resolve the groupnames as
configured in nsswitch.conf via ldap. Furthermore it seems that Openldap and
SUN's ldap libaries on Solaris 9 clash together. So I fear that this combination
does not work. So currently I see only two approaches to solve this:

1. As it works with Solaris 8 / 10 (comment #7), there might be a patch for
Solaris 9 to solve this. So you would need to try your luck with SUN's bug database.
2. You try to get httpd's / apr-util's ldap support working with SUN's ldap
libraries.
